Dr. Chao encountered the field of optometry at a very young age, due to a failed screening during grade school. Ever since then he's always been passionate about the field and being able to help people with their vision.

Dr. Jay Chao
Dr. Jay Chao is a graduate from Western University College of Optometry here in nearby Pomona. He had his clinical training at Cedar Sinai, Riverside-San Bernardino County Indian Health, Naval Medical Center in San Diego, and with a corneal and oculoplastic specialist in Laguna Hills. Working with the corneal specialist in Laguna Hills, he developed an interest in taking care of patients with specialty contact lenses for keratoconus, post surgical complications, and other corneal irregularities. He is licensed to practice optometry at the highest level, treating glaucoma, dry eyes, diabetic retinopathy, keratoconus, red eyes, and other eye conditions. He also brings his experience as a behavioral optometrist from his previous office, addressing different binocular dysfunctions. He enjoys living an active lifestyle, frequently hiking, snowboarding, and traveling.
